Intro to Gray to Sunny Day
Gray to Sunny day was founded in March 2022, shortly after our founder Darina Gray was diagnosed with secondary stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.
Darina has been an advocate for spreading awareness and remaining positive since her first cancer diagnosis in 2019, shortly after the birth of her second baby.
In true Darina spirit she had the idea to turn this nightmare into something positive, with the launch of her charity Gray to sunny day. (You can read more about Darina on ‘The team page’ and keep updated on her day to day life and amazing strength on our ‘Blog Page’).
We are three friends, volunteering our spare time to the charity.
One aspect we wanted to make absolutely clear is we are a ‘no flare charity’. No member of our team receives a wage or any benefit.
If you are kind enough to sponsor us or donate money, you will not receive marketing goods, merchandise, or anything else that will take away funds from families that need it most.

Our Aim
Our biggest goal for Gray to sunny day is to spend every penny raised helping families create precious memories.
In the early days of discussions whilst creating Gray to sunny day, we all felt it was important to be different to any other cancer charity we’d personally come across.
Our hopes are to raise money through events and sponsorships to help families struck with this awful disease create memories with days out, gifts and more.
